This project was founded on the principles of contributing to both phpnuke users and developers. For the users, we thought it would be nice if one site could try to catalog every download available for the Phpnuke CMS and it’s forks. For the developers, we wanted to try to support them by only providing information about where their project’s downloads can be found. It is our goal to catalog as much nuke related content as possible and keep it up to date. Hopefully, developers will take the initiative to submit their own content.
Why Wordpress?
This domain has set for months with absolutely no content on it. Not long ago I sat down to draw up a plan of overall goals for phpnukedownloads.com. In the end, it was decided we wanted to help support developers by simply blogging about their hard work and Wordpress is perfect for that. We did some more research and we customized a few plugins to get exactly what we wanted for this project. As the project develops, I think browsers are going to find they enjoy it also. This is a progressive project with lots of potential.
About Floppy
My name is Mack Hankins and I have been programming almost 3 full years now. I actually got my start in the gaming industry building clan sites, particularly my own. That site needed a script to manage our members and I found a new obsession. I don’t necessarily tie myself to any one programming language as I love them all. My current desires are a better understanding of Ajax and more Photoshop knowledge. I have forever loved the simplicity of the Nuke CMS and I dedicate a lot of my time to it.
About Ped
My name is Ped, I have been using PHPNuke for well over 5 years now and have a full understanding of how it all comes together. My background is very bizarre but not uncommon these days. I joined the British Army at 16 and served for 14 years but in 2003 was injured and medically discharged and found that I had a lot of time on my hands.
I could just about send an email when I left the forces, computers in general just gave me a new challenge. I also used PHPNuke for gaming, PHPNuke is being used more and more for gaming sites because it is so flex able and has so much related content that is very easy to install or edit. I could write a whole page on my new beginning using PHPNuke but in short I strive to “Be The Best” this was drilled hard by the forces ethos. Today I just try to make great gaming themes for PHPNuke whilst trying to incorporate latest technology and methods.
My current computer skills range across the whole Adobe platform, particularly Photoshop. In the next 12 months I would love to pick up the PHP book again and really get stuck in at the more complex spectrum of the coding world. www.phpnukedownloads.com is a FREE resource site for the PHPNuke community and is a new venture between myself and Mack!
